CHINA-AIR TRAFFIC SERVICES DATA-LINK CAPABILITIES WESTERN_ROUTE

Data-link services provide surveillance and Direct Controller-Pilot Communications (DCPC) capabilities beyond the range of existing line of sight radar and VHF voice facilities.

Initial ATS Data-link applications will utilize VHF or satellite to transger information between airborne and ground based system, and between controller and pilot.

DCPC via data-link is supported by the data-link application of  Controller-Pilot Data-link Communications (CPDLC).
